Abrigo Advocates

ABRIGO:
where one is sheltered from elements or harm

The newly launched program from CASA First ‘Abrigo Advocates” provides any trauma-impacted or system-involved infant, child or youth from Santa Fe, Rio Arriba or Los Alamos Counties
with a highly trained and dedicated advocate.

Abrigo Advocates are volunteers who are matched with children and youth who have been impacted by trauma or are system-involved. Abrigos, through a consistent and supportive  relationship, will help children and youth find the resources and services they need, assist with practical life functions, create community connections and more. Our goal is to meet our youth or child where they are and guide them accordingly.
